Mansfield is a town in Bristol County, Massachusetts, United States. As of the United States 2000 Census, the town population was 22,414. Mansfield's location is 28 miles south of Boston, 14 miles west of Brockton, and 19 miles north of Providence, Rhode Island. It is bordered by Foxborough and Sharon to the north, Easton to the east, Norton to the south, and Attleboro and North Attleborough to the west. The town's northern border is also a portion of the northern border of Bristol County. Its localities include East Mansfield, Ginty Corner, Mansfield Center, Purdy Corner and West Mansfield.In the town the population was spread out with 31.4% under the age of 18, 5.3% from 18 to 24, 38.1% from 25 to 44, 18.9% from 45 to 64, and 6.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 99.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.8 males.
